October is “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”, and several are high school volleyball teams are doing their part to bring it to the forefront. Similarly, the Side-Out Foundation helps people with breast cancer regain control of their lives.

Each senior volleyball player read an excerpt and dedicated the game to fellow RHS student Eric Burdette, who was recently diagnosed with cancer. The seniors hug Burdette shortly before the start of the game.
Charli Dietz tips it over the Giles defenders. She finished the contest with seven kills and 14 digs. Radford lost the contest to Giles 14-25, 25-23, 25-23, 17-25, 10-15.
Radford’s Emma Minnick attacks the net late in the contest. She finished with 33 assists and 15 digs. Abbey Vinson added seven blocks for the Bobcats.
