Frank A. Ramer, 93, of Radford, passed away peacefully Feb. 16, 2026, surrounded by his children, grandchildren and their spouses. Frank was born July 9, 1932, to the late David W and Gertrude Azalia (Zell) Ramer. He was preceded in death by Judy, his loving wife of 56 years.

Frank worked at the Quantico Marine Corp Base for many years as a heavy equipment supervisor. He built his own home and enjoyed woodworking, making furniture and playing golf. He loved nature and enjoyed watching all types of wildlife. Frank was an avid Washington Nationals baseball fan and played with church leagues for many years. He and his wife lived in their RV and traveled the US for a number of years after retiring. Frank was an active and faithful church member his entire life and often served as a deacon. His sense of humor and calm nature will be missed.

Frank is survived by his four daughters, Faith Ramer of Fredericksburg; Catherine Stribling (Danny) of Radford; Beverly Kowalik (Jim) of Alton, New Hampshire; and Tracy Beigie (Jeff) of Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Courtney Buck (James), D. Evan Stribling (Elizabeth), Cassandra Mitchell (Corey), Matthew Kowalik (Nicole), Carl Beigie (Emerlyn) and Henry Beigie; and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Jacob, and Makayla Buck, Elise and Allie Stribling, Madelyn and Bo Mitchell and Maxwell and Nora Kowalik.

A graveside service with full military honors was held Monday, Feb. 23, 2026, at the Sunset Memorial Gardens Chapel in Fredericksburg.

The Ramer family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
