Claytor Lake State Park has announced the completion of major renovations to Campground Birch, offering visitors an upgraded camping experience just in time for spring.
The campground now features 50/30/20-amp electrical hookups and water hookups at each site, providing added convenience for campers with RVs up to 30 feet.
Campground Birch will reopen on April 3, but guests can make reservations now to secure their spot for the upcoming season. These enhancements are part of the park’s ongoing commitment to improving visitor amenities and ensuring a comfortable, memorable outdoor experience.
In addition to Campground Birch, Claytor Lake State Park offers a variety of overnight accommodations to suit every visitor’s preference, including:
Cabins: Fully furnished cabins with modern amenities and beautiful lake views.
Additional campgrounds: Campgrounds Alder (opens May 22), Cedar (opens April 3) and Dogwood (opens Mar. 6) provide a mix of electric and non-electric options.
Yurts: Unique, round structures that combine the rustic charm of camping with added comfort.
Located along the scenic shores of Claytor Lake, the park offers boating, fishing, hiking and a variety of educational programs.
