CHRISTIANSBURG – The Montgomery County School Board has named Domenic Saia as the next principal at Falling Branch Elementary School.

Saia has served as the assistant principal at FBES since 2017.

Prior to his time at FBES, he was the principal at Prices Fork Elementary School, an assistant principal at Auburn Elementary School, and a teacher in Pulaski County Public Schools.

“I am so excited to serve as the next principal at Falling Branch Elementary,” Saia said. “I am inspired every day by our outstanding and passionate teachers and staff and I am energized by our kind and joyful students. The support, commitment, and partnership of our FBE families are foundational to our success. The students, teachers, staff, and families are what make Falling Branch Elementary the strong and supportive school community that we are.”

“Dom has proven to be a strong leader for the FBES community, and I am confident that he will continue as he transitions into this new position,” MCPS Superintendent Dr. Bernard Bragen, Jr. said. “I’m excited to see Mr. Saia flourish as the next principal of the FBES Frogs.”

Saia has a bachelor’s and master’s degree from Cairn University in Pennsylvania. He also holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership & Administration from Radford University.

Saia will begin his new position Sept. 9.
