RADFORD – With warm temperatures upon us, the Radford City Police Department’s bike patrol is hitting the streets of Radford.

“We are excited to announce that our dedicated bike patrol officers are out in full force, patrolling our local parks and engaging with the community,” reads a statement by the police department. “This initiative is part of our ongoing effort to ensure the safety and well-being of all park visitors while fostering positive relationships between law enforcement and residents.”

The police department encourages residents to strike up a conversation with officers when they see them.

“Our officers are not only here to keep the parks safe but also to connect with you, hear your concerns, and participate in community activities,” the department says. “Whether you see them riding along the trails, stopping to chat, or joining in local events, don’t hesitate to say hello!

Your feedback and engagement are invaluable in helping us serve you better. Together, we can make our parks a safer and more enjoyable place for everyone.”
