Minnie Elsie Atkins Radford, 97, of Blacksburg passed away, Monday, August 20, 2018, at Commonwealth Senior Living. She was born in Franklin County, VA on November 20, 1920 to the late James Robert and Nannie Trail Atkins.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Palmer C. Radford, and her brothers, Mont, Grover, Charlie Lee, James, Joe and Bobby; one sister, Mildred “Midge” Atkins Hollandsworth.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Billie Radford and Robert G. Cline; grandson, Matthew Cline; granddaughter, Erin Cline Furey and husband, Ryan; great-grandchildren, Megan and Justin Furey, Faith Cline; sister, Olivia Atkins Quinn and husband, Hubert; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted on Aug. 23, 2018 in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Gilbert officiating. Interment followed in the Westview Cemetery. The family received friends prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr SW, Blacksburg, VA.
