Radford-Fairlawn Daily Bread recently honored the organization’s many volunteers with an appreciation picnic. “Look at this awesome family of volunteers! Our volunteers have hearts of gold, and it was an honor to take the time to appreciate them for all they give and all they are,” RFDB said in a social media post. “In 2023, our volunteers spent over 7,000 hours preparing, serving, and delivering meals. Radford-Fairlawn Daily Bread could not do what we do without them. When you see them, take a moment to say, “Thank you for caring for our neighbors.” RFDB provides a warm homecooked lunchtime meal to anyone who wants it, Monday through Friday, in its dining room on the ground floor of Long Way Brewing, located at 501 Second St. RFDB also provides Meals on Wheels service to homebound seniors.
