RADFORD – Radford City Public Schools has announced multiple significant academic recognitions across all schools.
These accomplishments “highlight the division’s continued commitment to excellence, growth, and student success,” RCPS announced.
Radford High School has received Distinguished Recognition in the Virginia Department of Education’s School Performance and Support Framework in Region 7. The honor “reflects strong instructional engagement, student achievement, and sustained improvement,” said RCPS in the announcement.
Dalton Intermediate School has also earned regional recognition, ranking number two overall by total points in the Region 7 framework. Additionally, the intermediate school achieved placement in the Top Five schools in the region in several key academic indicators: Top 5 in Mastery – Reading; Top 5 in Growth – Reading; and Top 5 in Growth – Math.
“At the elementary level, Radford City Schools is celebrating exceptional success with our English Learners,” the school division announced. “Our two elementary schools are ranked number one and number two in Region 7 for English Learner performance, demonstrating the division’s dedication to inclusive practices, targeted supports, and high expectations for all students.”
“These accomplishments reflect the hard work of our students, the dedication of our teachers and staff, and the strong partnership we share with families and the community,” said RCPS Superintendent Adam Joyce. “We are incredibly proud of the progress being made at every level of our division and remain committed to continuous improvement and student-centered learning.”
“Radford City Schools extends sincere appreciation to educators, administrators, students, and families whose collective efforts have contributed to these outstanding results,” the announcement reads. “Together, we will continue to build on this momentum and ensure that every student has meaningful learning experiences.”
