The Radford City Republicans are endorsing “a dynamic slate of candidates” for the upcoming school board and city council elections in Radford.

Benjamin Buzzard, Brian Dobbins, Guy Wohlford, and Kellie Artrip, all lifelong residents of Radford, embody the values and commitment to community that the Republican Party holds dear.

Benjamin Buzzard, a distinguished Radford native, brings a solid academic background to his candidacy, holding an A.A.S in General Studies from New River Community College and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Radford University. Currently serving as the Campus Services Supervisor at Radford University, Ben’s dedication to education and community service is truly commendable.

Brian Dobbins, with 27 years of experience at Norfolk and Southern and a passion for coaching volleyball at the rec center, brings a wealth of knowledge and a strong community spirit to the table. Together, Brian and Ben have adopted the evocative slogan “Your children, our future,” signaling their unwavering commitment to placing the education and safety of Radford’s children at the forefront of their agenda.

Guy Wohlford, a respected past city council member, Chairman of the City of Radford Electoral Board, and Radford business owner, stands as a beacon of experience and leadership in the community. Likewise, Kellie Artrip, currently serving the City of Radford as a council member and Audit Manager at National Bank of Blacksburg, brings a unique blend of financial expertise and civic dedication to the fore.

Guy and Kellie share a common vision of ushering in economic responsibility and increased transparency in Radford’s governance, underscoring their commitment to fostering a more accountable and prosperous future for all residents.

The endorsement of Benjamin Buzzard, Brian Dobbins, Guy Wohlford, and Kellie Artrip by the Radford City Republicans reflects a shared belief in the values of education, community service, and responsible governance. The party stands firmly behind these candidates as they embark on their campaign journey to uplift and enhance the Radford community.
