Radford City Council to meet Monday

RADFORD – The Radford City Council will hold its only regularly scheduled August meeting  Monday,  Aug. 8, at 7 p.m.

A reception will be held at 6 p.m. with Radford University President Bret Danilowicz as the guest speaker.

The agenda includes the following items:

Discussion or consideration of the acquisition of real property for a public purpose or of the disposition of publicly held real property when discussion in an open meeting would adversely affect the bargaining position or negotiating strategy of the public body.

The Radford City Council meeting will be held in the council chambers of the city administration building, 10 Robertson St., Radford.

The Radford City School Board will meet the following day, on Tuesday, Aug. 9, for a meeting and the board’s annual retreat. That meeting begins at 1 p.m. at the school administration building, 1612 Wadsworth St., Radford. The agenda can be viewed at www.rcps.org by clicking on the “District” tab and then “School Board,” and “Agendas and Minutes.”
