The Radford Chamber of Commerce recently presented a check to the New River Community College Educational Foundation to support the Access to Community College Education (ACCE)

program for recent high school graduates in the City of Radford. The Radford Chamber of Commerce is proud to support the ACCE Program at New River Community College (NRCC).

The ACCE Program at NRCC is an economic development public/private partnership that makes college available debt-free to high school and home-schooled graduates by funding tuition at NRCC for two years. ACCE students will graduate from NRCC prepared to join the workforce or transfer to a four-year college or university. Students must qualify and perform at least 80 hours of community service to receive this assistance.

NRCC ACCE student representatives at the presentation included Olivia Burton, Evan Armes, Rachel Keffer, Abby McCoy and Andrew Moore. Representing NRCC were Dr. Dee Dee Kennedy, NRCC dean of student services and Radford Chamber board member; Ms. Angela Covey, NRCC Educational Foundation executive director; Dr. Pat Huber, NRCC president; and Dr. Robert Brandon, incoming NRCC president. Radford Chamber representatives included Executive Director Dan McKinney, Abram Williams, Radford Chamber president; and Michelle Beale, Radford Chamber board member.
