The Radford Chamber of Commerce has kicked off a holiday display contest and is hoping businesses and residents will help make the city festive for the holiday season.
The Radford Chamber of Commerce is calling all Radford city businesses with storefront windows and neighborhood homes to enter its window and resident display contest.
This competition is a fun way to celebrate the holiday season, create a festive and beautiful downtown, attract visitors and showcase your business and residence from east to west end.
Residents are urged to enjoy an evening full of fun by packing up the car, having dinner at a Radford restaurant and then riding around Radford’s neighborhoods and through downtown business to pick out your favorite displays and cast your vote.
A map on the chamber’s contest webpage will lead everyone to the businesses with displays in their windows and to home displays.
Photos of each entry for home/business will be uploaded to the chamber Facebook.
The deadline for entries is Nov. 27. The entry fee is $25. The first 40 entries will receive a complimentary Chamber of Commerce Christmas ornament.
Decorations must be up by Dec. 7, and public voting by link will be held from Dec. 9-22.
Entries will compete for a number of prizes including restaurant and retail gift cards, digital and print advertising spots, gym memberships and gift baskets.
