An unscheduled visit by Vice President Joe Biden to a Radford restaurant Wednesday has caused quite a controversy after the business owner did not welcome him. Biden had hoped to catch lunch at Crumb and Get It, 1154 E. Main Street, when one of his staffers was turned away by owner and manager, Chris McMurray.
The business owner said he did not agree with a remark made by President Barack Obama during a recent campaign stop in Roanoke where he said if you were a successful small businessman than you had help to get there.
Biden then walked across the street to River City Grill on 3rd Street where he greeted customers before speaking at Virginia Tech later in the day.
