RADFORD – A Pulaski man has been arrested following a physical altercation in Radford in early February.
Corey Edward Carter, 56, was arrested Feb. 9, 2026 in connection with a Feb. 1 stabbing in Radford.
“On Feb. 1, 2026, at approximately 8:45 p.m., officers with the Radford Police Department responded to the 200 block of Second Street in reference to a reported physical altercation,” the RCPD stated in a press release. “Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim who was suffering from multiple stab wounds. The suspect had fled the scene prior to law enforcement’s arrival.”
Following an investigation, Carter was identified as the suspect in the incident. He was arrested Feb. 9 with the assistance of the United States Marshals Service, the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia State Police and officers with the Radford Police Department. He has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding and robbery and is being held without bond at the New River Valley Regional Jail.
