Public hearing set for West Precinct polling place change

RADFORD – Radford City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 11, at 7 p.m. to hear comments on a proposed change to the West Precinct polling place.

The hearing, which will be held in the council chambers of the City Municipal Building, 10 Robertson St., Radford, will be held at the start of the regularly scheduled Radford City Council meeting.

The purpose of the public hearing will be to receive public comment on an ordinance to amend Section 27-32 of the Radford City Code to change the polling place for the West Precinct from Carter Street United Methodist Church, located at 1223 2nd St., Radford, to Compassion Church, located at 1820 2nd St., Radford.

Copies of the proposed ordinance, a map of the West Precinct’s boundaries, and a description of the polling place change may be obtained or inspected by contacting the Office of the City Clerk at (540) 731-3603.

These comments will be compiled by the registrar and presented to the Radford Electoral Board and Radford City Council prior to their joint meeting on July 11, 2022.
