Frank Eugene “Gene” Price, of Blacksburg, passed away peacefully Thursday, April 18, 2024.
Gene was born Oct. 21, 1935 to Guy Lewis Price and Anna Mae Slusser Price. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Grubb Price; father Guy Lewis Price; mother Anna Mae Slusser Price; and brothers Jack Price and Glen Price.
He is survived by his daughters, Marie Greene and husband Joe and Sharon Davis and husband Steven; son Guy Price; sisters-in-law Janice Price (Jack) and Barbara Price (Glen); six grandchildren, Crystal Bond (Jerry), Quentin Davis (Samantha), Heather Price, Mary Price, Patrick Price and Ean Greene (Summer); three great grandchildren, Levi Davis, Rylan Bond and Aubrey Davis; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
We would like to thank Chippenham Hospital for the care they provided during his final days.
The viewing for Gene and Memorial for Carolyn was held at McCoy Funeral Home in Blacksburg Thursday April 25, 2024. A graveside service was held at the Veterans Cemetery in Dublin on April 26, 2024, officiated by Rev. Neal Turner.
