Joseph Pack of Fairlawn won the feature category, People, at the Radford Photo Club’s June meeting with his photo of the look three of his grandbabies gave him when he suggested it was time to leave Bisset Park. “

They looked at me like: ‘What you talking about Willis?’” he said.

Pack also tied for first in the open category with his photo of The Gate.

“It was a gateway leading from the slave plantation at Crab Orchard into another field,” he explained.

Joyce Sims of Radford tied for first in the open category.

“This bee was visiting my flower garden,” she said.  “It definitely was displaying its striking features!”

The next meeting will be Wednesday, July 24, at 6 p.m. at the Radford Public Library. The July photo challenge is outside, nighttime.

The Radford Photo Club is made up of professional and amateur photographers from throughout the New River Valley. Meetings, events, and outings are open to the public. If you have questions about the club, email Lucy Gilmore at lucyg.gilmore@gmail.com or Joyce Crowder at joycecrowder2@icloud.com.
