Each Saturday the paper features a dog and a cat from the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center (480 Cinnabar Road, Christiansburg). Those interested in adopting a pet can call 382-5795 or visit www.montgomerycountyva.gov/acac. Hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Walk-ins are welcome.
This 12-year-old special needs cat enjoys snuggling and cozying up with humans. His mobility is limited, so a home without stairs would be ideal for him, as he could take a tumble. Catfish is FIV+ and cannot be in a home with an FIV- cat. Come meet him at the Animal Care and Adoption Center, if you think you may be his purrfect match!
This pittie, 11 months old, has been a center resident for a little over a month. Maxx is a playful and friendly guy who is great with other dogs and humans. He would enjoy an active home where he can stretch his legs and release some of his puppy-like energy! Stop by the center to meet him.
