Each Saturday the paper features a dog and a cat from the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center (480 Cinnabar Road, Christiansburg). Those interested in adopting a pet can call 382-5795 or visit www.montgomerycountyva.gov/acac. Hours are 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Walk-ins are welcome.
Dino, almost 4, is a handsome tabby and he considers himself the King of the Castle! He is an independent guy and prefers to observe the world around him. His favorite place in his forever home would likely be a sunny spot by a window or door, as he is quite a curious fellow who enjoys people watching.In her short time at the center, 10-month-old Stella has proven to be a friendly pup. She is a German shepherd mix currently weighing about 35 lbs. She loves being in the great outdoors and would do best in a home with a fenced yard to roam around or to hang out on nice days. She enjoys taking long walks.
