The pets-of-the-week come from the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center. Each Saturday the paper features a dog and cat from the facility available for adoption. Those interested in adopting a pet, or helping the shelter, can call 382-5795 or visit www.montgomerycountyva.gov/acac.
Tigger, 1, is an orange Tabby that is friendly with most everyone he meets, including dogs. He doesn’t appear to have a high interest in toys but he does enjoy a good nap and belly rub. If you think this cool cat may be a good match for your home, stop by the Animal Care and Adoption Center in person. Be prepared for Tigger to nuzzle your legs!Maxine, 7, is a short-time resident of the Animal Care and Adoption Center. She is a little unsure of her new circumstances, as she was brought to the Center due to her human being unable to keep her. Maxine is a beagle weighing about 22 lbs.
