Linda S. Caldwell Parmelee, of Smith Mt. Lake, born June 1, 1949, peacefully left for her heavenly home on April 7, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Dorothy Sheppard; her husbands, Paul Caldwell and Rodney Francis; and a sister-in-law, Frances Sheppard.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Parmelee; two stepsons, Thomas and Bobby (Jenny) Parmelee; a brother, Aubrey Sheppard; a sister, Eunice S. Jones; a special friend and caregiver, Brenda Hill; a very special niece, Lynn Akers; six nephews, Gary, Larry, Sheldon, Justin, and Nicholas Akers and Link Sheppard; two step-granddaughters, Breanna and Kylie Parmelee; and numerous cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 16, 2021, at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Tibbs and the Rev. Jube Burk officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 1- 2 p.m. Friday.
