2 Timothy 4: 7-8: "She fought the good fight, finished her course and kept the faith."

Shirley Lee Palmer of the Union Valley section of Riner left her earthly home for her heavenly home on Friday, April 17, 2020. She was born April 29, 1948 to Charles E. Palmer (deceased) and Anna Underwood Palmer of Riner. She was born with cerebral palsy. Although her life was filled with many struggles, she always had a smile for whomever she met. She loved God, singing gospel music, going to church and being with her family.

Those left to mourn her passing are her mother, Ann U. Palmer; her sisters and brother-in-law, Barbara (Henry) Bibb, Phyllis Palmer (her caregiver), Charlotte Walton and Charlene Clark; her brothers, Charles E. Palmer, Mark Palmer, and Jerry Palmer; nieces Lesia Lefner, Pamela (Josh) Mayes, Sara Woolwine, Katrina (Mike) Clark, Michelle Clark and Amy Palmer; nephews Bobby Bibb, Kevin (Tammy) Palmer, Jason (Jessica) Roop, Daryl (Kayla) Palmer, Chuck Palmer, Derrick Palmer, and Corey (Jessie) Woolwine; her uncles and aunts, Ray (Jo) Underwood, Melvin (Bertha) Underwood, Freddie Underwood, Dana Underwood, Roger (Pat) Underwood, Delores (Carl) Jones, and Judy Underwood; and many cousins.

Our deepest thanks to a special nephew (whom she loved dearly) Kevin, his wife Tammy, and Caleb and Addy for their love, compassion, and devotion to Shirley, which greatly enhanced the quality of her life.

The family will have a private graveside at Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Riner Rescue Squad.
