The Salem-Roanoke Baseball Hall of Fame named Blacksburg High School baseball player Sam Szefc as the 2026 Ray Bellamy Memorial Award Player of the Year. This season, Szefc won the River Ridge District player of the year. Szefc was also named first-team All-Region 4D pitcher and shortstop and all-county/all-city player of the year.
