On Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center’s social media, volunteers have been dressing the animals available for adoption in shark costumes.
This is a campaign to have fun with the shark week theme as well as inform community members which animals are looking for good homes. The ACAC holds a maximum of 68 dogs and 64 cats. With an average of 1,500 of each animal coming in every year, ACAC promotes the animals that are in great need of adoption. ACAC is located at 480 Cinnabar Road, Christiansburg Va. Hours of operation are Mon.-Fri. 11-6 p.m., and Sat.-Sun. 11-4 p.m. The center is always looking for volunteers.
