New River Community College recently named Shauna Crosscup, Terry Gallimore, and Josh Taylor as new full-time teaching faculty.

Crosscup, of Christiansburg, was named associate professor of business. She has served as NRCC’s financial aid manager since 2017 and is also an adjunct instructor at NRCC. Crosscup has 15 years of experience in business and finance working in higher education. She holds an associate degree in business administration from Wytheville Community College, a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Roanoke College, and a master’s degree in business administration from Radford University.

Gallimore, of Dublin, will be an instructor of automotive. He joins NRCC after 40 years of experience at Woodyard Auto Service where he was the owner and head mechanic for the past 24 years. Gallimore holds an ASE master technician credential and has trained and launched successful careers for aspiring automotive technicians in his four decades of working in the field. He was an adjunct instructor at NRCC previously.

Taylor, of Pulaski County, was named assistant professor of information technology. He has served as an applications specialist for Technology Services at NRCC since 2021, where he has also served as an adjust instructor. Taylor has 20 years of experience in the field, having advanced through roles from technician to network administrator and then to director of technology for Pulaski County Public Schools. He has two associate degrees from NRCC, a bachelor’s degree in information technology from Western Governors University, and a master’s degree in cybersecurity and information assurance from Western Governors University.

These new faculty members replaced retirements and filled vacant positions at NRCC. They began teaching courses in the fall 2024 semester.
