RADFORD – A new mural on east Main Street offers a colorful gateway to the downtown area of the city.

“The City of Radford received a Community Vitality Grant through the State of Virginia to provide a mural in our downtown business district,” the City of Radford announced. “The premise was a mural that would depict all the wonderful assets of Radford at the gateway of our downtown. Wonderful and talented artist, Andrew Williams, did a fantastic job of capturing the essence of Radford. Welcome to our New River City!”

Williams is a multidisciplinary artist based in Southwest Virginia who has created several murals in the New River Valley and restored the vintage advertising murals at Carson’s Courtyard in Radford.
