A new tree is lit for the holiday season at the Radford Public Library recently after a festive event held at the library, during which the crowd participated in Christmas carols using bells led by the Grove United Methodist Church bell choir. “Thank you all for making this year’s Tree Lighting fantastic,” the RPL announced. “It was wonderful to have the library filled with so much holiday cheer. We’d like to extend a big thanks to the Grove United Methodist Church Handbell Choirs, Mayor David Horton, Hodge Podge Cookies, Radford’s Electric Department, Radford Transit, and of course Santa Claus!” For ore photos from the tree lighting event, please see page .
