Ronnie Myers left his earthly life on Friday, February 3, 2023, surrounded by his family at his home. He was met at Heaven’s Gate by his father and mother, Oakley and Lillian Myers, his two brothers, Melvin Myers and Jack Myers; and his sister Joline Fisher.
He is survived by Peggy Myers, his wife of 10 years; Ronda and Phil Carr, his daughter and son-in-law; Dawn and Eric Underwood, his daughter and son-in-law; and Brian and Bobbi Myers, his son and daughter-in-law. Also left to cherish his memory are Adrian and Emilee Turner, his grandson and wife; Haley Myers, his granddaughter; and Micah Turner, his great grandson; Clarice Vaught, his sister; and Patricia and Steve Irvin, sister and brother-in-law; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. In addition, he leaves special friends and honorary family, Polly Myers, Buck and Leigh Ann Matherly, Teresa “Sissy” and Walker Moore, Samantha Moore, Jonathan Howell, Josh Howell, Larry and Cathy Cook, and Darlene Wirt, and his many friends at the Old Timers Sportsman Club.
Ronnie was not a stranger to hard work and owned his own construction business for most of his life. He loved spending time with his family and friends and always loved being surrounded by people. He was a founding member of the Old Timers Sportsman Club and loved spending time there with his friends, sitting on his porch, telling jokes and stories, hunting, riding four-wheelers, cutting trails, and enjoying the outdoors. His home church was Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church where he grew up learning to love God and cherishing his Christian friends. He loved music and was known to play mandolin and banjo and was invited to play in the occasional gig. You could also find Ronnie out on the open road riding his motorcycle. Ronnie had a sense of humor that put a smile on your face and a loving nature that filled your heart with joy. He is loved by so many.
The family is thankful for the care he received at the end. We would like to thank the staff and services of Medi Home Health and Hospice for their loving care through his journey and for their kindness during Ronnie’s final days. We are also thankful for the staff and services of Blue Ridge Cancer Care.

The first will be held in the Fellowship Hall of his home church of Merrimac Pentecostal Holiness Church on Saturday, March 4, 2023, 2- 4 p.m. The second will be held at the Old Timers Sportsman Club on Saturday, April 29, 2023, starting at 2 p.m.
