Norman Rossilind Morris, 74, of Christiansburg passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019 at the New River Valley Medical Center. He was born in Pulaski County, VA on June 14, 1944 to the late Oscar H., Sr. and Myrtle Carnell Morris. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Mae Morris; a sister and brother-in-law, Mildred and Emory Sutphin; brothers, O.H. Morris, Jr., Divers Morris; brothers-in-law, Roger Cole and Gene Cole. He was a member of Belmont Christian Church. He retired from C&P Telephone Company.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Cole Morris; stepson, Denny Ray Scott, Jr.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Martin Vaught, Doyle and Linda Vaught, Haven and Suzie Cole, Marshall and Darlene Cole.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The family received friends from Tuesday prior to the service at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr SW Blacksburg, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Belmont Christian Church, 1500 Peppers Ferry Rd NW, Christiansburg, VA 24073.
