Wanda Bowyer Morehead, 66, of McCoy died, Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018 at her home. She was born in Montgomery County, VA on March 22, 1951 to the late Marvin Harold and Chlora Keith Bowyer.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Terry Morehead; and her sister, Brenda Carol Bowyer. She was a lifetime member of Long Shop-McCoy Rescue Squad, and Wanda served as president of the Virginia Association of Volunteer Rescue Squads. Wanda was a member of the Senior Bowling League.
She is survived by her son, Keith Morehead; sister-in-law, Bobbi Lynn Yopp; two nephews, Bill Barnett and James Barnett and their families; and special friend, Maryann LaRue and her family. A Memorial Service will be conducted on Monday, February 12, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. James O. Flaugher officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-6 p.m. Monday evening prior to the service.
