Miller off Main Street Galleries, 211 Wilson Ave. in Blacksburg, presents “Exchanges,” an exhibition of the paintings of Susan Lockwood and Terri Hoover.
Exhibited side by side, Hoover’s paintings see the natural world in colorful layers of paint as details disappear the closer one gets to the painting. Lockwood’s paintings capture essential elements of a subject or place, creating an image that evokes strong emotions.
The exhibit runs through April 28 with a reception for the artists on March 31 from 5 to 7 p.m.
