Thomas “Tommy” Dillard McMahan, Sr., age 81, of Blacksburg died, Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at Heritage Hall, Blacksburg.
He was born in Montgomery County, VA on April 26, 1937 to the late Marshall and Nellie M. McMahan and was also preceded in death by his wife, Bessie Odell McMahan; daughter, Vickie Lynn McMahan; sister, Christine; and brother, Kenneth McMahan.
Tommy retired from V.P.I. & S.U. with 42 years of service. He is survived by his sons and their spouses, Thomas D. and Renee McMahan of Blacksburg, Ricky L. and Tina McMahan of Chilhowie, Paul David McMahan and Andrew Hunt of Blacksburg; grandchildren, Ricky L. McMahan, Jr., Jill McMahan, Frankie Nicole Mooney, Lacey McMahan, Dylan McMahan; great-grandchildren, Chloe Adkins, Lydia McMahan, William Stiltner, Elliott Grizenback.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
