Betty Jane McMahan, 77, of Blacksburg, went to her Heavenly Home Saturday, Mar. 14, 2026. She was born in Montgomery County on Jan. 16, 1949, to the late Edward G. and Eleanor Linkous Hungate. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Oakey McMahan; a daughter, Joan Marie Barker; a granddaughter, Laura Barker; a brother, Norman Hungate; and a sister, Peggy Hungate Fox.

She is survived by her son, Billy W. Jones (Patricia Woodson); daughters, Angela Gail Jones (Tashina Meadows) and Tina Renee Collins (Wayne); grandchildren, Dustin, Latrinidy, Jacob, Leann and Tyler; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Smith, Margaret Duncan and Frances Alls (Jimmy); and ex-husband and father of her children, Bill Jones.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Mar. 18, 2026, at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Simon Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 – 2 p.m. before the service.
