Donna Claire Hart McCardle was born in Chillicothe, Ohio, on January 3, 1927, to the late Stanley Burton Hart and Dulcie Bridenbaugh Hart.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, William Stanley Hart and Roger L. Hart and his wife Jean; a sister, Beverly Lou Hart Rihl; sons Stephen Hugh McCardle and Timothy Mark McCardle; and her husband of 58-and-a-half years, Dr. Hugh J. McCardle.
She is survived by sons David J. McCardle and Michael C. McCardle; sister Janice Hart Scott of Columbus, Ohio; daughters-in-law, Karen McCardle and Leigh McCardle; grandchildren Emily McCardle Wong, Jamie McCardle, and Ryan McCardle; and a special grandson, Mario Wong; and many other relatives and friends.
