Letter to the editor
I would like to encourage the citizens of Radford to vote for Keith Marshall on May 1st for Mayor of Radford.
Keith’s eight years of service on City Council, with two of those years serving as vice mayor, means that he already has the proven experience and leadership skills necessary to start leading our city on day one.
Keith won’t need any on the job training. He’s ready now. Another quality Keith has shown as proof he’s the right person for the job is dedication.
In eight years of service, he has perfect attendance for all the city council meetings. I personally can attest to some sacrifices Keith has made to avoid missing meetings.
His youngest son had a football game that had to be played on a Monday night, the same night as a scheduled council meeting. As hard as it was for Keith to leave that game, he did, because he is 100 percent committed to the citizens of Radford and his responsibility as an elected official.
Keith, along with Councilman Mick Turk, have taken time off from their respective jobs to attend meetings with our elected state officials in Richmond to fight for our city’s share of state funding.
Keith has proven time and time again his passion, dedication and willingness to sacrifice his time for the benefit of the citizens of Radford.
That’s the kind of leadership I would like to see as Mayor and I hope you will join me on May 1st and elect Keith Marshall as Mayor of Radford.
Lee Effler,
Radford
