Gina Adelaide Magnoni, 100, our precious Mama and Nonna went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018 in Blacksburg, Virginia. She was born Sept. 5, 1918 in Santa Cruz County, California, to the late Luigi and Theresa Cantoni.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 46 years Giovanni; faithful brother, Attilio and Anna Cantoni. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Claudia (Bob) Goldstein of Blacksburg, Virginia and Anna (Scott) Dillingham of Watsonville, California; grandchildren, Robin (Walter) Blount, Abe Goldstein, Leah (Michael) Erby, and Sean Magnoni; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Blount, Maya Erby and Chase Erby; special niece, Margaret Liberatore; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins in Italy.
A very special thank you to Dr. William Thomas, all her wonderful caregivers, Virginia Tech Adult Services, and Commonwealth Senior Living.
She was laid to rest next to her husband at Holy Cross Cemetery, Santa Cruz, California on Oct. 8, 2018. A Celebration of her Life will be held today, Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Christiansburg Assembly of God, (formerly Grace Assembly, 1861 Mud Pike Rd) in Christiansburg, Virginia with a time of Fellowship after the service.
