Nancy Elizabeth Machincia, 70, of Christiansburg, died Monday, Nov. 18, 2024, at her home.
She was born in Bluefield, West Virginia on Aug. 30, 1954, to the late Ray and Velvie Rose Blevins. She was also preceded in death by her son, John Machincia, III, and a brother David Lewis Blevins. She taught for 10 years in McDowell County, West Virginia and 32 years at Christiansburg Elementary School.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, John Machincia, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Trinity Heckman; son and daughter-in-law, Bradley and Carrie Machincia; grandchildren, Zander Heckman, Hannah and Mason Machincia and Daniel Roberts; several nieces and nephews, sister and brother-in-law, Cathy and Gary Wilson; and sister-in-law, Wanda Blevins.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Nov. 25, 2024 in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ryan Rose officiating. The family received friends Monday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s or Shriners Children’s Hospital.
