Jean Lindberg, 89, of Blacksburg and previously of Waterford, PA, passed away on August 16, 2017.
Jean was born in Jamestown, NY on 8/14/28, daughter of the late Charles and Mildred Hudson.
In addition to her late parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband and fishing partner, Kurt Lindberg; grandson Casey Lindberg, siblings Charles Hudson and Barbara Bemus; and dear friends Althea, Bev and Reggie.
Survivors include sons Bradley (wife Colleen) Lindberg of Erie PA and Gary (wife Judy) Lindberg of Blacksburg VA; grandchildren Mara (Adam) Keith and Kurt Lindberg (Tessa); and her much loved great-grandchildren Jace, Brinley and Milo. Additionally she leaves behind special friends Linda, Judie and Jean.
Jean worked most of her adult life as a cook at the Waterford Elementary School cafeteria, retiring in 1993. She had many passions/hobbies throughout her lifetime including fishing with her husband; ceramics; knitting; sewing; reading; baking her famous cookies; and playing golf and tennis with her girlfriends (until the age of 80!). Jean will be remembered for her generosity, determination and non-judgmental ways.
Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
