The Virginia High School League Alignment Committee has made its recommendations for the 2027-28 – 2030-31 4-year alignment plan. The decisions affected the likes of Liberty Christian Academy, which would be allowed to stay in Class 3 instead of dropping to Class 2.
The committee voted 4-1 to deny Grayson County High School’s request to move down to Class 1 Region C instead of its alignment assignment to Class 2 Region C.
The committee voted 5-0 to deny Alleghany High School’s request to move down to Class 2 Region B instead of its alignment assignment to Class 3 Region C.
