Lee, Robert Henry

Robert Henry Lee, 52, of Raleigh, N. C., formerly of Radford, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 27, 2020.

He was born in Radford to Lincoln Lafayette and Jeanie Foster Lee. Robert was a graduate of Radford High School where he was an avid football player. At a young age he was a Cub Scout. He was baptized at Zion Hill Baptist Church in Radford by Rev. Perkins.

Robert had such a kind and giving personality and a big heart. He and his wife, Renee, moved to Raleigh 20 years ago, where he was employed at Tyco Security until his illness.

Today we celebrate Robert’s life to know that he is now at peace and pain free with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.The family wishes to thank each and every one for phone calls, cards, visits and food. We deeply appreciate each of you.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Lincoln Lafayette Lee; his grandparents, Ballard, Sr. and Lottie Lee, and Artemus and Rosa Foster; and his mother-in-law, Leilani Sanders.

Robert leaves to mourn his wife of 20 years, Renee Lee of Raleigh,; six children, Shereka, Johnny, Carmella, Quantanelle, Marquian and Sharif; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; his mother, Jeanie Foster Lee of Forest, Va., and siblings, Kelvin (Faye) Lee of Radford, Karen Lee of Forest, Jennifer Lee of Charlottesville, Va., and Michael (Deborah) Lee of Bristol, Va.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family received friends from 10 until 11 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2020 at Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services began at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Jenene Lewis, the Rev. Harry Grubb, the Rev. Robert Brown and Lay Leader Melissa Webb officiating. Entombment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Dublin, Va.

The Lee family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home and Crematory in Radford.
