Kenneth Ray Stoots, Sr., 79, of Radford, passed away Friday, April 4, 2025. He retired after 35 years from Pulaski County as Supervisor of the PSA and also worked for Simpson Construction. He enjoyed bluegrass music, and playing the dobro. He built a 1938 Chevy Coupe Deluxe and had a Hellcat Redeye Dodge Challenger. He loved doing yardwork and gardening, and enjoyed watching Westerns, especially John Wayne movies.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey W. and Rosie Isabelle Jones Stoots; brothers, William “Bill” Stoots, George Stoots and Charles Stoots; and sisters, Leanna Bentley, Geraldine “Geri” Jarrells and Peggy Brown.
Survivors include his daughters, Tina Ellison and Debbie Bales (Randy); son, Kenneth Ray Stoots, Jr.; grandchildren, Joseph Ellison, Traci Dillon, Josh Cox, Brandon Ellison and Jacob Bales; great grandchildren, Jensen, Jocelyn, Nathan, Carson, Daxton and Natalie; dear friends, Steven Nack and Leroy Quesenberry; and many other relatives and friends.
The family received friends Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services followed with Pastor Greg Harrell officiating. Interment followed in Sunrise Burial Park in Radford.
