Druanne Ellis Jones, age 61, of Blacksburg passed away, Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Freeport, New York on May 20, 1955 to the late Frank and Mae Ellis. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Frank Ellis, Jr.; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Henry and Dorothy Jones.
She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Douglas Jones; daughter, Janie Jones, of Blacksburg; daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Matt Eller, of Alexandria; son, John Jones, of Blacksburg; sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Bill Bernard, of Babylon, New York; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richie and Cilla Jones, of Montauk, New York; Bob Jones, of Bethpage, New York; Bill Jones, of Christiansburg; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Her love of family, friends and adventure will be missed by all.
Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 5 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Obenchain officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Dr. S.W. Blacksburg, VA.
