Belinda C. Hypes went to be with the Lord Feb. 17, 2024, at the Forsyth Medical Center in North Carolina. She was 69.
She was born in Panama City Jan. 22, 1955. She lived in Rich Creek, Va. A funeral service will be held at McCoy Funeral Home in Blacksburg, Sunday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. A visitation will also be held 1-2 p.m. before the service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Mary Frances Cruise; her sister, Rodonna Sutphin; brother-in-law, Allen Sutphin; brother, David L. Cruise; and sister in law Debbie Cruise.
She is survived by companion/forever friend James (Jug) Donathan; daughter Oceanna Cruise Matney; son-in-law Geoff Matney; sister Pamela C Young; brother-in-law Thomas E. Young; nieces Mary Dennis and Whitney Young; nephews John Young and Shawn Cruise; great nephews Westyn Ware, Aubrey Cruise and Joey Culverhouse; great niece Cassandra Cruise; great-great nephew Zayland McGraw; and three special fur babies Smokey, Bandit and Rambo.
