Hyler, Dorothy Brown, went to be with Jesus and many loved ones on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018. She was 90 years old. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Trotter Hyler; parents, John and Juanita Brown; brother, John “Dickie” Brown; three sisters, Betty Leighton, Mary Jane Cochran and Doris Viers.
She is survived by a daughter, Janice Wilson (James) of Midlothian, VA; son, William Hyler of Tallahassee, FL; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Dot worked for C&P Telephone Company in Radford, VA and Blacksburg, VA for 20 years, and for Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg, VA for 20 years.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018 at Highland Memorial Gardens (5555 Lee Hwy., Dublin, VA.)
