Regina Ann Lewis Hutchins of Christiansburg passed away suddenly on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2020. She was born to the late Jeff D. Lewis and the late Dreema A. Call on Aug. 13, 1965, in Richlands, Va. She was preceded in death by her birth parents; her adoptive parents/grandparents, Jeff O. Lewis and Frances K. Lewis of Tazewell, Va.; her brother, Keith Lewis; a step-sister, LeAnna McMullin; and several aunts and uncles.

She is survived by her husband, Greg Hutchins; a son Isaac Hutchins; step-mother Becky Lewis; mother- in-law Ella Hutchins; and a brother, Kenny Lewis (Wendie). She also is survived by numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Prior to her death, she worked for Community Health Center of the New River Valley (CHCNRV) for four years. She started there as an LPN, then worked as a nursing supervisor and was Clinical Project Coordinator when she passed away. She had previously worked at the old Radford Community Hospital, Carilion New River Medical Center, LewisGale Salem and other medical offices. She loved working in pediatrics but while at CHCNRV she greatly loved and enjoyed the projects and people she worked with.

Her biggest joys were her wedding day, the day Isaac was born and the day he came home. She felt on top of the world with this little guy who has grown into a loving and caring little boy that she was extremely proud of.

The family wants to thank everyone for all the loving and caring messages about Regina Ann. We know that she touched and was a good influence on the many people she interacted with over the years. She will sadly be missed by her husband, son, family and friends. We all are better people for having known her.

The family will receive friends today, Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Horne Funeral Home. A memorial service will immediately follow in the Chapel with the Rev. Russell Shepherd officiating.

Arrangements with Horne Funeral Home 540-382-2612.
