Free concert to benefit Mont. Co. Jr. Appalachian Musicians

CHRISTIANBURG – The Montgomery County Junior Appalachian Musicians’ Spring Community Concert is just around the corner, scheduled for 5–8 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 28, at the Meadowbrook Community Center, 267 Alleghany Spring Rd. in Shawsville.

Entertainment will feature music from The Indian Run Stringband and The Lovely Mountaineers, as well as student and parent ensembles. There also will be a silent auction for a farm basket from Lone Oak Farms, a 50/50 raffle, and food and drinks available for purchase.

Come join the MJAM community for a great night of fun, music, food, and prizes—and help support the museum’s independently funded youth music program that celebrates Appalachian music. For more information about the many ways you can help support this great program, contact the program director, Jason Dilg, at mjamprogram@gmail.com.

The spring term is supported in part by a grant from the IBMA Foundation.
