The Pulaski Yankees have announced the hiring of Betsy Haugh as the team’s Assistant General Manager.

Haugh, a native of Earlysville joins the Yankees after two seasons with the Danville Braves, where she started as a trainee before being named Sales & Marketing Manager in September 2016.

Prior to beginning her career in Minor League Baseball, Haugh earned degrees from Virginia Tech (MA, Communication, 2016) and Marshall University (BA, Sport Management and Marketing, 2014).

While at Marshall, she worked in the Thundering Herd’s Athletic Department as a sports information intern.

“I am extremely excited to join the Pulaski Yankees. I look forward to working with the Calfee Park ownership group and the Pulaski community to build on the great success the organization has had in recent years,” said Haugh.

Since October 2016, Haugh has assisted the Appalachian League with its media relations efforts as the league publicist, a role she will maintain while with the Yankees.

She was named the Appalachian League Woman of Excellence and Appalachian League Outstanding Employee of the Year at the conclusion of the 2017 season and also helped the Danville Braves earn 2017 Appalachian League Organization of the Year honors.

The Pulaski Yankees are the Rookie level affiliate of the New York Yankees playing in the Appalachian League. Pulaski is celebrating its 53rd season in the Appalachian League in 2018.

Calfee Park has won league championships in 1948, 1969, 1986, 1991 and 2013. Calfee Park opened in 1935 and was renovated for the team’s first season as a Yankees affiliate in 2015.
