Mary Ellen Hollins Hatchell, 79, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at her home in Christiansburg. She was born on May 9, 1939 to the late Della Sue and Harley Joe Hollins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lloyd Baxter Hatchell, Sr.; a son; Randall O’Dell Hatchell; a sister, Lottie Smith; and brothers and sister-in-law, Tommy Hollins, and Butch and Debbie Hollins.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd and Rebecca Hatchell; grandchildren, Amanda, Cynthia and Justin; great-grandchildren, Jayson, Nevaeh, Savanna, Jeremiah and Grace; brothers and their spouses, Mikey and Josie Hollins, and Donnie and Linda Hollins; a sister-in-law, Janie Hollins; a brother-in-law, Lamar Smith; special caregiver, Tammy Duncan; and many other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were held on July 31, 2018 at Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg with Rev. Luke Haynes officiating. The family received friends at the funeral home.
The Hatchell family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford, Virginia.
