Let’s start moving! Something as simple as a daily brisk walk can help you live a healthier life. It could help you maintain a healthy weight, prevent or manage various conditions, including heart disease, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes, strengthen your bones and muscles and improve your mood, balance and coordination.
“Walking is a great way to socialize with old friends and an opportunity to make new ones,” Audrey Caldwell senior citizen supervisor at Radford Parks and Recreation.
Join us every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9 a.m. to walk.
Benches are available on both ends of the walking track should you need to sit and rest. Club participants may walk at their own paces or with a friend.
