Christiansburg wrestler Brady Hand won four state titles in his high school career, and this past week, he was named to the Virginia Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame during a ceremony at the Virginia Crossings Hotel and Conference Center in Glen Allen.
Hand is the Class 3/4 Student-Athlete of the Year for 2026 and had an overall high school record of a 131-10 for the Blue Demons, finished seventh at Super 32, a Beast of the East All-American, and was a three times-NHSCA All-American.
He won his first of four state titles at 120 pounds, then moved up weight classes to 138, 144, and 150 pounds. He never lost a VHSL match.
He also gets the job done in the classroom with a current 3.7 GPA and has a full wrestling scholarship to Appalachian State University to study Business and Sports Medicine.
The Virginia Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame is a state-level organization who is dedicated to preserving the history of wrestling in Virginia and honoring individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the sport.
The student-athlete award recognizes top-performing high school wrestlers for their athletic and academic excellence.
